Meanwhile, American hardcore band Pro-Pain made a cover of your song "Terpentin" for the album "Run For Cover" (2003). Did you like their version of the song?

Gonzo: It is a very nice cover, and they themselves are very nice guys. I was pleased when they did our thing.

Stephan: We are proud that the American band made a cover of the German band. This happens very rarely. And it's great!

By the way, what is "Terpentin" which, judging by the lyrics, you very like to drink?

Gonzo: " Terpentin " - is a potent detergent, very toxic and flammable. So if you drink it ... (laughter). In the best case, you will get blindness which you can not escape!

Have you ever heard other Böhse Onkelz cover songs?

Stephan: There are many groups in Germany which play our songs. But I did not hear them, I do not even know whether they published their song versions on CD, because most of these groups - just a cover bands who do a lot of strange things. The only cover of our song, which I ever heard - is "Terpentin".

And if someone wanted to make a tribute to Böhse Onkelz and would ask you to help with the selection of groups, who would you invite?

Gonzo: It's funny that you ask this question because we already have an idea. We want to invite all groups who were supporting us for 25 years and ask them to choose and play some of our song . This project is scheduled for the next year.

Stephan: If I had unlimited possibilities, I would like to have our song recorded by Social Distortion. It is a pity that the Ramones defenitely won’t do this...

Gonzo: I would invite Lemmy, he, by the way, is hanging around somewhere at the moment. It would be cool to hear the song performed by Motorhead.

Stephan: And it would be great to get for this project, someone like Gluecifer, Hellacopters ...

Your own record labe is named „Rule 23 Recording”. How did you come up with this name?

Stephan: We borrowed it from a book by Robert Anton Wilson, he wrote three books about the Illuminati ... Damn, it's hard to explain it in English. Gonzo, help!

Gonzo: The books are about people who really control the world. According to Wilson there is a mysterious secret society called the Illuminati, which governs the world.

Stephan: 23 is a number that is often used by the Illuminati. Therefore we named our label after it.
